Its linear friction profile is designed to work effectively with the vehicle’s ABS system while maintaining stable braking response and improved stopping performance. Performance Ceramic is an excellent choice for street-driven ZL1 models where keeping the wheels cleaner and minimizing brake noise are priorities. The compound operates from 100°F to 650°F, with an optimal temperature range of 100°F to 450°F. Its rotor-friendly formulation is also designed to reduce pad wear and extend rotor life compared with more aggressive performance compounds.

Important Notes

• Fits 2017-2024 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 and ZL1 1LE models with the applicable 4-piston rear Brembo brake system.
• Will not fit 2022-2024 Camaro models equipped with RPO BCD California/Washington copper-free brake systems.
• Performance Ceramic is intended primarily for street use and prioritizes low dust, low noise, smooth braking response, and rotor life rather than track-level braking performance.
• Hawk Performance compounds are designed for iron/metal brake rotors and are not compatible with carbon-ceramic rotors.
• Proper bedding is recommended after installation. Hawk’s street-compound procedure specifies 6-10 moderate slowdowns, followed by 2-3 harder stops and at least 15 minutes of brake-system cool-down.
