Introducing the 2016-2018 Camaro SS! The 6th Generation Camaro SS made its first appearance in May 2015 featuring the new Gen V Direct Injected LT1 6.2L V8 (455 HP & 455 LB-FT TQ). GM also release other Sub-Models within the Camaro SS platform, such as the SS 1LE, SS Fifty Edition (2017 MY), SS Redline Edition, and the SS Hot Wheels Edition (2018 MY). The 6th Generation Camaro only carried over 2 parts from the previous Generation, went to a slimmer frame and spent over 350 hours within GM's Aero Lab Wind Tunnel, optimizing the aero dynamics and vastly improving the down force from the Camaro's previous generation.
