DESCRIPTION:

Eliminate differential movement, reduce wheel hop, and create a more stable rear drivetrain platform in your 2016-2024 Chevrolet Camaro with the BMR Suspension Billet Aluminum Differential Bushing Kit featuring Part Number BK059. Designed for max-effort street performance, drag racing, and handling applications, the BK059 completely replaces the compliant factory rubber differential bushings with solid billet aluminum components. By eliminating differential bushing deflection and pinion rise, BMR's BK059 provides a significantly more rigid differential mounting solution for sixth-generation Camaros where maximum performance takes priority over factory levels of noise, vibration, and harshness. The factory Camaro differential bushings use soft rubber construction with large voids designed primarily to isolate drivetrain noise and vibration. While this construction improves everyday comfort, it also allows the differential to move under acceleration and aggressive driving. BMR addresses this movement by replacing the factory rubber bushings with four solid two-piece aluminum bushings. Unlike polyurethane, the billet aluminum construction does not deflect, effectively solid-mounting the differential and maintaining a much more stable relationship between the differential, drivetrain, and rear suspension. Each BK059 bushing is CNC-machined to BMR's exact tolerances for precise fitment. By eliminating differential movement and pinion rise, the solid aluminum bushings help minimize wheel hop while improving traction, handling stability, and overall drivetrain response. This makes the BK059 particularly well suited for high-performance Camaros used for aggressive street driving, drag racing, road-course driving, or other applications where controlling drivetrain movement is critical. Billet aluminum also provides advantages in demanding high-temperature environments. BMR notes that aluminum can withstand considerably higher temperatures than rubber, polyurethane, or Delrin, making the BK059 particularly suitable for race vehicles where the differential may generate significant heat for extended periods. Aluminum is also unaffected by the petroleum products, road salt, ozone, and other contaminants commonly encountered underneath the vehicle. Finished in a durable Black Anodized coating, the BK059 combines maximum rigidity with long-lasting corrosion-resistant protection and a clean performance appearance. BMR estimates installation at approximately 3-4 hours, depending on the method used to remove the factory bushings. For sixth-generation Camaro owners building a max-effort street or competition-oriented vehicle where eliminating differential movement is more important than maintaining factory NVH characteristics, the BMR BK059 Billet Aluminum Differential Bushing Kit provides an uncompromising performance solution.

Important Notes

  • This kit replaces the factory differential bushings completely.
  • This is not a differential bushing insert kit.
  • BMR uses four solid two-piece aluminum bushings to replace the factory soft rubber differential bushings.
  • Each bushing is CNC-machined to BMR's exact tolerances for proper fitment.
  • Solid billet aluminum construction eliminates differential bushing deflection.
  • The BK059 eliminates differential movement and pinion rise compared with the factory rubber bushings.
  • Eliminating differential movement helps minimize wheel hop and increase handling stability.
  • BMR designed the BK059 for max-effort street performance, drag racing, and handling applications.
  • Billet aluminum is capable of handling higher temperatures than rubber, polyurethane, and Delrin, making the BK059 well suited for extended high-performance use.
  • The aluminum construction will withstand exposure to petroleum products, road salt, ozone, and other elements found in harsh undercar environments.
  • BMR estimates installation time at approximately 3-4 hours.
  • Actual installation time may vary depending on the technique and tools used to remove the original bushings.
  • Installation requires removal of the factory differential bushings.
  • BMR's installation procedure requires removal of the differential from the vehicle to replace the factory bushings.
  • BMR instructs installers to remove the two front differential bolts and nuts along with the rear differential bolt before lowering the differential from the vehicle.
  • Factory differential bushing removal requires cutting the outer bushing race. Extreme care must be taken to avoid damaging the differential housing.
  • The BMR aluminum bushings are installed into the differential mounting locations after the factory bushings have been completely removed.
  • Proper lifting equipment, tools, and mechanical experience are required for installation.
  • Professional installation is strongly recommended for customers unfamiliar with differential removal and solid bushing installation.
  • Solid-mounting the differential will increase noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH). BMR specifically warns of increased NVH with the BK059.
  • Customers primarily concerned with maintaining street comfort should consider the additional NVH before selecting solid aluminum differential bushings.
