DESCRIPTION:

Cleanly install a compatible radar detector in your 2016-2024 Chevrolet Camaro with the Gen5DIY Radar Detector Harness. Designed specifically for sixth-generation Camaro applications, this harness provides a convenient power connection at the overhead console and eliminates the need to splice factory wiring or manually insert pins into the overhead console harness. The Gen5DIY harness is designed for radar detectors that use a phone-cord-style RJ11 power connector. Two configurations are available: part number 220320 without extra leads and part number 220322 with additional power and ground leads. For customers who want to power an additional accessory such as a dash camera, the 220322 version includes separate ignition-switched 12-volt power and ground leads. This provides a convenient secondary power source while retaining the radar detector connection.

Important Notes

• The radar detector must use an RJ11 phone-cord-style power connection.
• Choose part number 220320 if only the radar detector connection is needed.
• Choose part number 220322 if additional power and ground leads are desired for another accessory.
• The loose accessory leads included with 220322 provide ignition-switched 12-volt power and ground.
• Many dash cameras and similar electronic accessories operate on 5 volts rather than 12 volts. A suitable voltage converter must be used if required by the accessory.
• A 12V-to-5V voltage converter is not included with the harness.
• Always verify the voltage requirements and connector type of the radar detector or additional accessory before installation.
