DESCRIPTION:

Upgrade the rear braking performance of your 2016-2024 Chevrolet Camaro SS or SS 1LE with the DBA Brakes DB15144XP Xtreme Performance Series Rear Brake Pads. Developed for applications requiring substantially more friction capability than a conventional street pad, the DB15144XP is engineered to provide high initial bite and consistent friction performance across a broad range of brake temperatures. DBA recommends its Xtreme Performance range for street-performance vehicles, club track days, and other demanding braking environments. The DB15144XP uses DBA's semi-metallic carbon-fibre friction formulation with low copper content. The pads incorporate slots that help stabilize operating temperatures while providing a path for brake dust and debris to leave the friction interface. DBA also equips DB15144XP with application-specific multi-layer elastomeric-coated shims designed to reduce brake noise during street and performance driving. DBA applies its TSP post-curing/scorching process to the XP compound. This treatment is designed to increase cold-friction effectiveness while reducing the time required to properly bed the new pads to the rotor surfaces. DB15144XP does not use a bedding-in stripe or chamfer. For maximum stopping performance, DBA recommends pairing Xtreme Performance pads with its T3 slotted 4000 Series or 5000 Series rotors. For Camaro SS and SS 1LE applications, this allows the DB15144XP to be incorporated into a matched DBA braking package using performance-oriented rear rotors such as the appropriate T3 4000 Series application. The DB15144XP is particularly well suited to Camaro owners who want a more aggressive rear pad than DBA's Street or Street Performance compounds but still require a pad intended for street-performance and club-track environments. For dedicated competition use at sustained extreme temperatures, DBA's Race Performance compound represents the next step beyond XP.
