Camaro SS 1LE & ZL1 eLSD Calibration

Posted by Matt R. on Oct 27th 2023

Did you know GM came out with a special eLSD calibration based on their our performance tuning done after the Camaro SS 1LE and ZL1 were first introduced?

Well you know now! Chevrolet Dealerships offer a special eLSD tuning calibration that must be done at the dealership.

6th Gen Camaro SS 1LE eLSD Calibration

The reason for this eLSD calibration update on the Camaro SS 1LE was intended for road courses and autocross with traction control off. This enhanced and modified the following...

  • Faster turn-in and faster power application on turn exit
  • Decouples the differential at a faster rate based on the accelerator pedal position and steering wheel angle to enable faster yaw rotation at corner entry
  • Faster coupling upon corner exit to enable power to be  delivered sooner to both rear wheels

6th Gen Camaro ZL1 eLSD Calibration

The reason for the eLSD on calibration update on the Camaro ZL1 was intended for drag strip use only with traction control off. This enhanced and modified the following...

  • Enables more consistent burnout performance for improved drag strip launches
  • Doubles the differential coupling torque during burnout and drag launch scenarios by increasing the pressure applied to the clutch pack in order to prevent relative slip between clutch plates
  • As a result, burnouts warm both tires evenly

Since this is a dealership install only, you will have to have the vehicle present during re-calibration. Once properly installed, the chassis/body control module will have your VIN number attached to with this calibration, for the lifetime of vehicle. For any reason your Camaro would need to have a re-flash of the modules in the future, your VIN number will automatically override the stock calibration to make sure the eLSD Performance Calibration is present.

Here are the service document ID numbers for your Chevrolet Dealership to reference this install..
