Designed for sixth-generation Camaro LT1, SS, and ZL1 applications, the MM362 replaces the compliant factory engine mounting system with heavy-duty tubular steel mounts and solid billet aluminum bushings for maximum engine control during aggressive street and track use. Factory motor mounts are engineered to isolate engine vibration and provide a comfortable driving experience, but that compliance allows the engine to move under acceleration, braking, and shifting. BMR notes that this engine deflection can contribute to slower throttle response, slower reaction times, and less precise shifting in manual-transmission vehicles.
