DESCRIPTION:
Minimize wheel hop, improve traction, and enhance rear suspension stability on your 2016-2024 Chevrolet Camaro with the BMR Suspension Rear Upper Control Arm Outer Spherical Bearing Kit featuring Part Number BK069. Designed to replace the factory rear outer upper control arm bushings, the BK069 uses heavy-duty 0.75-inch spherical bearings housed in precision-machined 6061 billet aluminum bearing cups. By eliminating the deflection inherent in the factory rubber bushings, BMR's BK069 provides a more precise suspension mounting point for improved performance during acceleration, cornering, and aggressive driving. The factory rear upper control arm bushings use soft rubber primarily to isolate noise, vibration, and harshness. While this construction benefits everyday ride comfort, the compliant rubber can deflect considerably as suspension loads increase. Instead of maintaining a rigid relationship between suspension components, the factory bushings can absorb movement that would otherwise be controlled by the suspension. BMR developed the BK069 specifically to eliminate this bushing deflection and provide a more direct connection at the rear outer upper control arm mounting locations. At the heart of the BK069 are heavy-duty 0.75-inch spherical bearings surrounded by machined 6061 billet aluminum bearing cups. Unlike conventional rubber bushings, spherical bearings eliminate unwanted bushing compression while allowing the suspension to articulate through its intended range of motion. This provides the rear suspension with a more precise pivot point and helps maintain more consistent suspension behavior as acceleration and cornering forces increase. According to BMR, eliminating rear upper control arm bushing deflection with the BK069 decreases wheel hop, increases throttle response and traction, improves handling stability, and reduces rear spindle rotation. Reducing spindle rotation is particularly important in performance applications because excessive movement can contribute to unwanted changes in rear suspension geometry under load. By better controlling this movement, the BK069 helps the Camaro put power to the pavement more effectively while providing a more stable and predictable rear suspension platform. BMR engineered the BK069 for street performance, drag racing, and handling applications, making it suitable for everything from modified street cars to more dedicated competition-oriented builds. Finished in durable Black Anodized coating, the precision-machined bearing cups provide long-lasting protection and a clean performance appearance. BMR lists installation time at approximately 2-3 hours and proudly designs and manufactures the BK069 in the USA.

Important Notes
- This listing is specifically for the rear upper control arm outer spherical bearing kit.
- BK069 replaces the factory rear outer upper control arm bushings.
- This kit should not be confused with BMR's spherical bearing kits for the upper trailing arms, lower trailing arms, or inner lower control arms.
- Eliminating soft factory bushing deflection allows suspension movement to occur through the spherical bearing rather than through compression of the OE rubber bushing.
- Because the BK069 replaces compliant factory rubber bushings with spherical bearings, increased noise, vibration, and harshness may be noticeable compared with the factory suspension.
- Spherical bearing upgrades are best suited to performance-oriented applications where suspension precision, traction, and responsiveness take priority over maximum NVH isolation.
- Proper tools and equipment may be required to remove the factory outer upper control arm bushings and correctly install the spherical bearing assemblies.
- Inspect surrounding suspension components for wear or damage while the suspension is disassembled.
- For a more comprehensive rear suspension bearing conversion, BK069 can be combined with the appropriate related BMR spherical bearing kits to progressively eliminate compliant factory rubber bushings from multiple rear suspension pivot points.
- A professional four-wheel alignment is recommended after installation whenever rear suspension locating components have been removed or disturbed.
- Professional installation is recommended for customers unfamiliar with suspension bushing removal and spherical bearing installation.
