DESCRIPTION:
Upgrade the rear braking system on your 2016-2024 Chevrolet Camaro SS or SS 1LE with the DBA Brakes DBA43111S T3 4000 Series Rear Brake Rotors. Designed as direct-replacement single-piece performance rotors, the DBA43111S combines DBA's high-carbon alloyed iron construction, Thermal Stability Profiling, patented T3 bi-directional slot design, and Kangaroo Paw ventilation technology to provide improved thermal capacity and more consistent braking under demanding street and track use. DBA's T3 slot design builds on the company's T2 pattern with additional precision CNC-machined tri-symmetrical slots. According to DBA, these extra slots create more exit points for brake-pad friction dust and gases, helping improve the consistency and effectiveness of repeated brake stops while contributing to a smoother and more responsive pedal feel. The 4000 Series rotor itself is cast from high-carbon alloyed iron and undergoes DBA's Thermal Stability Profiling heat treatment. DBA states that this process realigns the iron's microstructure to increase rotor stability and durability while improving its ability to withstand the heat and stress generated during repeated hard braking. Cooling is further enhanced through DBA's Kangaroo Paw ventilation system. Instead of conventional straight vanes, the rotor incorporates 144 diamond- and teardrop-shaped pillars between the rotor faces. DBA states that this design can provide up to 30% greater surface area and up to 20% improved cooling efficiency compared with a traditional straight-vane rotor. DBA also incorporates several additional performance-oriented details into the 4000 Series, including anti-rust coating on non-friction areas, a CBN-machined friction surface intended to minimize disc-thickness variation, and thermographic heat paint that changes color at specific temperature thresholds to help monitor brake temperatures and rotor fatigue. For Camaro SS and SS 1LE owners looking for a substantial rear brake upgrade without moving to a two-piece rotor system, the DBA43111S T3 4000 Series provides a direct-fit combination of high-carbon metallurgy, advanced cooling, bi-directional slotting, thermal monitoring, and track-capable braking performance.

Important Notes
- DBA applies Thermal Stability Profiling to help the rotor tolerate repeated heat cycles and intense braking loads.
- The rotor includes anti-rust coating on non-friction areas to help resist corrosion and improve appearance.
- Thermographic heat paint changes color at defined temperature thresholds to help monitor braking temperatures and rotor fatigue.
- Inspect existing pads for taper, glazing, cracking, contamination, uneven wear, or heat damage before reuse.
- Use brake fluid appropriate for the temperatures and demands of the intended driving environment.
