DESCRIPTION:
Launch harder, reduce wheel hop, and improve cornering consistency on your 2016-2024 Chevrolet Camaro with the BMR Suspension Non-Adjustable Upper Trailing Arms featuring Part Number UTCA058. Designed as a performance upgrade over the factory stamped-steel upper trailing arms, the UTCA058 combines heavy-duty 1 x 1.5-inch boxed-steel construction with greasable 95-durometer polyurethane bushings. This combination dramatically reduces trailing arm flex and greatly reduces bushing deflection, creating a stronger and more responsive rear suspension connection while maintaining acceptable noise, vibration, and harshness levels for street-driven vehicles. The factory sixth-generation Camaro upper trailing arms use stamped-steel construction and soft rubber bushings. While this design provides compliance for everyday driving, the factory arms can flex under cornering loads while the rubber bushings deflect under hard acceleration and other high-load conditions. This unwanted movement can absorb power instead of transferring it efficiently to the tires and can contribute to inconsistent rear suspension behavior. BMR engineered the UTCA058 specifically to address both trailing arm flex and excessive factory bushing deflection. BMR manufactures the UTCA058 from heavy-duty 1 x 1.5-inch boxed steel tubing. The open end is constructed from CNC laser-cut and CNC-formed 3/16-inch steel plate, creating a significantly stronger suspension component than the factory stamped-steel arm. The arms are designed to factory length, making the UTCA058 a non-adjustable replacement focused on increasing rigidity and improving suspension repeatability without introducing additional suspension geometry adjustment. The UTCA058 replaces the compliant factory rubber bushings with greasable 95-durometer polyurethane bushings. BMR internally flutes these bushings so grease can evenly coat the inner sleeve and migrate toward the outer edge of the bushing, keeping the thrust surfaces properly lubricated. According to BMR, this efficient lubrication system helps provide quiet, reliable operation throughout the service life of the bushings. BMR designed the polyurethane bushings to strike a balance between performance and street manners. They remain compliant enough to absorb a reasonable amount of NVH and preserve comfortable ride characteristics while being firm enough to withstand the high compression loads created by hard launches and aggressive acceleration. The bushings also provide the articulation necessary for performance handling, making the UTCA058 well suited to street performance, drag racing, and road racing applications. By dramatically reducing trailing arm flex and greatly reducing bushing deflection, the UTCA058 provides improved suspension repeatability on the street, at the starting line, and through corners. Available in Red or Black Hammertone powdercoat finishes, the arms combine serious performance capability with long-lasting protection and BMR's recognizable appearance.
