DESCRIPTION:

Launch harder, reduce wheel hop, and improve rear suspension consistency on your 2016-2024 Chevrolet Camaro with the BMR Suspension Single Adjustable Upper Trailing Arms featuring Part Number UTCA059. Designed as a serious performance upgrade over the factory stamped-steel upper trailing arms and soft rubber bushings, the UTCA059 combines heavy-duty 1.25-inch DOM steel tubing with premium X-Series rod ends and a single-adjustable design. This combination dramatically reduces trailing arm flex, eliminates bushing deflection, and provides the fine-tuning capability and bind-free suspension articulation needed for demanding street, drag racing, and road racing applications. The factory sixth-generation Camaro upper trailing arms use stamped-steel construction and compliant rubber bushings. While the factory design provides the compliance desired for everyday driving, BMR notes that the stock arms can flex under cornering loads while the soft bushings introduce significant deflection. This unwanted movement can absorb power rather than efficiently transferring it to the tires and can contribute to inconsistent handling characteristics as suspension loads increase. BMR manufactures the UTCA059 from heavy-duty 1.25-inch DOM steel tubing using MIG-welded construction. The open end is formed from CNC laser-cut and CNC-formed 3/16-inch steel plate, while TIG-welded chrome-moly tube adapters provide a strong foundation for the adjustable rod-end assembly. This heavy-duty construction dramatically reduces the flex associated with the factory stamped-steel trailing arms, providing improved suspension repeatability on the street, at the starting line, and through corners. Instead of conventional rubber or polyurethane bushings, the UTCA059 uses heavy-duty, zinc-plated, two-piece X-Series rod ends manufactured from heat-treated chrome-moly steel. These self-lubricating rod ends feature Teflon liners and are paired with custom-designed 304 stainless steel rod-end spacers. By replacing compliant factory bushings with precision rod ends, the UTCA059 eliminates bushing deflection while increasing suspension articulation and providing a more direct connection through the rear suspension. The single-adjustable configuration allows the upper trailing arm length to be fine-tuned for the vehicle's suspension setup. BMR specifically notes that the rod ends provide both fine-tuning capability and bind-free suspension articulation for superior handling. This adjustability makes the UTCA059 particularly useful on performance-oriented Camaros where suspension geometry, traction, and consistency become increasingly important as power levels and tire grip increase. BMR engineered the UTCA059 for street performance, drag racing, and road racing applications while maintaining what the manufacturer describes as acceptable NVH levels and ride quality. Available in Red or Black Hammertone powdercoat finishes, the UTCA059 combines serious suspension performance with durable protection and BMR's recognizable appearance. BMR's feature specifications list approximately one hour for installation, and the arms are proudly designed and manufactured in the USA.

Important Notes

  • This listing is for BMR's Single Adjustable Upper Trailing Arms with rod ends.
  • UTCA059 is a single-adjustable design intended to provide suspension fine-tuning.
  • The X-Series rod ends are heavy-duty, zinc-plated, two-piece components manufactured from heat-treated chrome-moly steel.
  • Reduced flex and deflection provide improved suspension repeatability on the street, at the starting line, and through corners.
  • BMR specifically states that the rod ends provide fine-tuning capability and bind-free suspension articulation for superior handling.
  • The UTCA059 provides increased articulation and reduced deflection compared with the factory trailing arm arrangement.
  • BMR describes the UTCA059 as providing improved performance while maintaining acceptable NVH levels and ride quality.
  • Because the UTCA059 uses rod ends instead of compliant factory rubber or polyurethane bushings, some additional suspension feedback and NVH may be noticeable compared with the factory trailing arms.
  • UTCA059 is the more performance-focused upper trailing arm configuration for customers wanting rod ends, reduced deflection, increased articulation, and adjustable arm length.
  • Because altering upper trailing arm length changes the rear suspension setup, aggressive adjustments may require corresponding changes to other adjustable rear suspension components to avoid binding and achieve the desired alignment specifications.
  • A professional four-wheel alignment should be performed or verified following installation and after changes to the adjustable trailing arm length.
  • Professional installation is recommended for customers unfamiliar with adjustable rear suspension components.
