DESCRIPTION:
Launch harder, reduce wheel hop, and improve rear suspension consistency on your 2016-2024 Chevrolet Camaro with the BMR Suspension On-Car Adjustable Upper Trailing Arms featuring Part Number UTCA060. Designed as a high-performance replacement for the factory stamped-steel upper trailing arms and soft rubber bushings, the UTCA060 combines heavy-duty 1.25-inch DOM steel tubing with premium X-Series rod ends and an on-car adjustable design. This combination eliminates trailing arm flex and bushing deflection while providing increased articulation and the convenient fine-tuning capability needed for serious street, drag racing, and road racing applications. The factory sixth-generation Camaro upper trailing arms use stamped-steel construction with compliant rubber bushings. While this configuration helps isolate noise, vibration, and harshness during normal driving, BMR notes that the factory arms can flex during cornering and the soft rubber bushings can deflect considerably under load. This unwanted movement can absorb power rather than transferring it efficiently to the tires and can contribute to inconsistent suspension behavior during hard launches and aggressive cornering. BMR manufactures the UTCA060 from heavy-duty 1.25-inch DOM steel tubing with TIG-welded chrome-moly tube adapters. The significantly more rigid construction eliminates the trailing arm flex found in the factory components, helping provide improved suspension repeatability whether the Camaro is accelerating on the street, leaving the starting line, or being pushed through corners. Rather than using conventional rubber or polyurethane bushings, the UTCA060 utilizes heavy-duty, zinc-plated, two-piece X-Series rod ends manufactured from heat-treated chrome-moly steel. These self-lubricating rod ends feature Teflon liners and are paired with custom-designed 304 stainless steel rod-end spacers. This configuration eliminates factory bushing deflection while increasing suspension articulation and allowing the suspension to move freely without the bind associated with excessive bushing compliance. One of the biggest advantages of the UTCA060 is its on-car adjustable design. Unlike a fixed-length or single-adjustable trailing arm that may require disconnection to make changes, the UTCA060 allows the suspension to be fine-tuned while the arms remain installed on the vehicle. BMR specifically states that its rod-end design provides fine-tuning capability and bind-free suspension articulation for superior handling at virtually any power level. BMR engineered the UTCA060 for street performance, drag racing, and road racing applications. Available in Red or Black Hammertone powdercoat finishes, these trailing arms combine serious suspension performance with durable protection and BMR's recognizable appearance. Installation time is approximately one hour, and BMR proudly designs and manufactures the UTCA060 in the USA.

Important Notes
- This listing is for BMR's On-Car Adjustable Upper Trailing Arms with rod ends.
- UTCA060 is an on-car adjustable design, allowing suspension fine-tuning while the trailing arms remain installed on the vehicle.
- The on-car adjustable configuration is particularly useful for performance enthusiasts and racers who need to make suspension setup changes without repeatedly disconnecting the trailing arms.
- Eliminating flex and bushing deflection creates a more direct and controlled connection through the Camaro's rear suspension.
- According to BMR, the factory stamped-steel trailing arms can flex under cornering loads and contribute to inconsistent handling characteristics.
- BMR's X-Series rod ends provide fine-tuning capability along with bind-free suspension articulation for performance handling at virtually any power level.
- Because UTCA060 uses rod ends rather than compliant factory rubber or polyurethane bushings, additional noise, vibration, and harshness may be transmitted into the chassis compared with the factory suspension.
- Rod-end-equipped suspension components are best suited for performance-oriented applications where precision, articulation, and reduced deflection take priority over maximum NVH isolation.
- During installation, the adjustable trailing arm should initially be set to match the factory arm's hole-to-hole length before additional suspension tuning is performed. BMR's upper trailing arm installation instructions use this procedure for its adjustable design.
- BMR's installation instructions specify tightening the adjustment jam nut to 40 ft-lbs after establishing the initial arm length.
- BMR instructs installers to install the bearing/rod-end side of the upper trailing arm first.
- BMR's installation instructions specify 81 ft-lbs for the inner and outer upper trailing arm mounting bolts. Always verify the latest service and installation information for the specific vehicle before installation.
- BMR recommends having the vehicle professionally aligned after installation.
- Any future adjustment to trailing arm length should be followed by verification of the vehicle's alignment and rear suspension settings.
- Professional installation and alignment are recommended for customers unfamiliar with adjustable rear suspension components.
