DESCRIPTION:

Convert your 2016-2024 Chevrolet Camaro to a drag-oriented 15-inch rear tire package with the BMR Suspension / Carlyle Racing DRP362 and DRP363 15-Inch Rear Conversion Kits. These comprehensive packages combine a compact Carlyle Racing rear brake conversion with BMR's RSK369 rear suspension kit, addressing both brake and suspension clearance while improving rear suspension geometry, traction, and launch consistency for serious drag racing applications. BMR specifically states that converting to a 15-inch tire package can significantly improve drag racing performance. Reducing the physical size of the rear brake package is an essential part of fitting a 15-inch rear drag wheel to the sixth-generation Camaro. BMR's Carlyle Racing brake package combines compact drilled and slotted rotors with lightweight Wilwood billet aluminum 4-piston calipers, creating additional clearance for compatible smaller-diameter rear wheels while retaining a purpose-built braking system. Brake clearance is only one part of the conversion. Both DRP362 and DRP363 include BMR's RSK369 rear suspension package, consisting of TR007 toe rods, UTCA059 upper trailing arms, TCA060 lower trailing arms, and UTCA062 rear upper control arms. Together, these components modify critical areas of the rear suspension to provide the clearance and geometry needed for a performance-oriented 15-inch conversion. BMR manufactures the suspension components from heavy-duty 1.25-inch DOM steel tubing and incorporates both adjustable and non-adjustable components into the package. According to BMR, this combination greatly improves the Camaro's rear suspension capabilities and geometry while increasing traction and launch consistency. The included adjustable toe rods are particularly useful when configuring the rear suspension after installation. BMR's RSK369 installation procedure allows rear toe to be adjusted by rotating the BMR toe rod after the vehicle has been lowered, after which the jam nuts are tightened to secure the desired setting. For drag racers, moving to a compatible 15-inch rear wheel also permits the use of purpose-built drag tires with substantially more sidewall than the Camaro's typical factory wheel and tire combinations. This gives racers greater flexibility when configuring tire pressure and launch characteristics and makes these conversion packages particularly attractive for high-horsepower street/strip and dedicated drag racing builds. BMR uses a lightweight design specifically intended for drag racing applications. The suspension components are finished in durable Black Hammertone powdercoat, and BMR lists installation time at approximately 5-6 hours. Proudly designed and manufactured in the USA, the DRP362 and DRP363 provide an integrated brake and suspension solution for sixth-generation Camaro owners looking to build a serious 15-inch rear drag package.

Important Notes

  • Both kits are specifically designed around converting the Camaro to a compatible 15-inch rear tire package for improved drag racing performance.
  • Both brake packages are specifically designed to improve brake clearance for smaller wheel and tire packages.
  • BMR states that the kit greatly improves rear suspension capabilities and rear suspension geometry.
  • Because multiple rear suspension links are replaced, a professional four-wheel alignment should be performed after installation.
  • Brake hoses, fittings, suspension components, wheels, and tires should be checked carefully for interference throughout the suspension's full operating range.
  • For high-horsepower drag racing applications, wheel and tire selection should be matched to vehicle power, suspension configuration, and intended track use.
